Stugeron (Cinnarizine) is an anti histaminic drug which is prescribed for travel sickness. Cinnarizine works by blocking histamine receptors, which control the part of the brain which is responsible for nausea and vomiting. Travel sickness, also known as motion sickness occurs when the brain struggles to cope with the perceived visual movement and the body's movement sensors. Common symptoms of travel or motion sickness include nausea, vomiting, dizziness and upset stomach.
Stugeron (Cinnarizine) Side Effects:
As with any drug, there may be side effects from taking Stugeron including drowsiness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, diarrhea, constipation, blurred vision, dry mouth and tightness in the chest. More serious side effects may include chest pain, fever, flu like symptoms, weakness, jaundice, skin reactions and severe headache. If you experience any side effects you must seek medical attention immediately for safety.

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Stugeron, you should avoid taking it and inform your doctor. You must consult your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions including liver or kidney disease, Parkinson's disease and hereditary porphyrias. You must consult your doctor if you are taking any other medications as they may interact with Stugeron, including antipsychotics, antidepressants, strong painkillers, sleeping pills and sedating antihistamines. It is important that you inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding as Stugeron may cause harm to unborn and new born babies. Stugeron causes extreme drowsiness in some patients, therefore do not drive or operate machinery when taking Stugeron.
